I create pet and family-friendly spaces that are both beautiful and functional, inspired by your unique style. Your home is my canvas and I will work with you to create a space that is truly your own. I believe that art is the soul of your home. It can create a sense of warmth, comfort and luxury as well as being the perfect way to add personality and character.

Born in Chicago, I was very early on influenced by my exuberantly eccentric and artistic grandmother. She was interested in all things art and design and so was I. Later, I was mentored by a wonderfully creative and innovative interior designer while living amongst all of the magnificent architecture in the city. I headed the design team for a well known contemporary real estate developer in the Gold Coast and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. We built luxury townhomes and condominiums. Many hours spent at the Chicago Art Institute led to an art-forward style of interior design. I also love infusing elements of nature while maintaining a casually elegant, creative, chic and sophisticated vibe.

Art forward design means that I tend to derive interior design inspiration from art. It also means that I look at your house as art itself. Where can we add or accentuate architectural detail? How can we play with shapes and colors to make your home pop? This allows for so many unique possibilities. I spend hours looking at art and design websites, books, magazines, blogs, museums…I find beautiful and interesting things everywhere.

I want to share that with you in whatever capacity makes you comfortable. DESIGN CONSULTATION is my forte. I can walk into a room and immediately get a feel for the space. Getting to know you helps me to help you feel good in that space. I can give you direction or I can create the whole experience for you. It’s up to you!

With an acute eye for detail and a natural ability to understand flow, the idea is to help you surround yourself with things that make you happy. Your home is the palette and thinking outside the proverbial and literal box is what I do. It’s just so much more interesting and unique to YOU.

I specialize in taking pieces that are meaningful to you and placing them artfully and intentionally throughout your home, incorporating them in thoughtful design.

Great interior design doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive. That’s where innovation and creativity play a role. It’s also where the CONSULTATION aspect comes in.

I have always had a focus on chic living with pets and plants using performance fabrics and rugs that are easy to clean and maintain. I am passionate about rescuing cats and dogs and let’s just say I have a “few.” You don’t have to sacrifice style just because you have pets and kids! I have perfected the art of that balance. I know how to mix high end pieces with great finds at stores you’d never expect, even in multi-million dollar homes!
